Founded in 2019, Muscatech is built on nearly 20 years of experience in managing audio and video production in small to medium-sized churches.
We understand that churches that size don't have the budget larger ones do, and often don't have the experience within their congregations to be able to do it all themselves. We believe, though, that in every church service using audio or video technology, good production values are important — and don't always need to cost a fortune.
James Muscat has always had a passion for technology; aged four, he started playing with a BBC Model B computer and hasn't stopped since!
In 2000, a member of the congregation gifted some money to the church to replace the overhead projector with a computer and projector. The twelve-year-old James was one of the first to arrive for an event after the upgrade had been installed, and was greeted by the youth pastor with the words “You're good with computers James — you can run words this evening!”
Since then, James has continued to serve behind sound desks — most recently at St Aldates Church, Oxford — and volunteered there as production manager for the groundbreaking 8.15 Service for twelve years.
